The PMVA is a Kenyan music video award show that seeks to support Kenyan artists in the music industry by awarding them in various categories. The selected nominees of each category are chosen by the members of the public via online voting.
This year's PMVA has seen an overall upgrade as compared to previous shows. From the red carpet pre-show to the location,at the Panari Hotel ,as well as hosting skills. This being the fifth edition of the show, an improvement must have been inevitable.
The main hosts of the show were; Jamal Gaddafi and Violet Ngina. Susan Njoroge hosted the red carpet pre-show.
"Rebirth of the Kenyan music".This was the theme of this year's show. Inspiration behind it is the new wave of Gengetone music that has taken the country by storm of late.
Various personalities graced the show, from artists to politicians as well as media personalities.Hon.Babu Owino and Hon. Charles Njagua,alias Jaguar, were among the guests in attendance.
Several artists took to stage performances of their respective hit songs. These performances included:

As for the wins, Sailors gang bagged several awards. Well, they are among the Gengetone teams that have taken over the industry like a storm and might be sticking around for a while.

8.Breakthrough video of the year-Zzero sufuri(Zimenishika).
9.Best group video of the year-(Pekejeng).
10.Viewers'choice of the year-Sailors gang(Wamlambez).
11.Video director of the year-Ricky Becko(Radio Love).
