In a tweet on Thursday, the party's Secretary-General Frederick Okango challenged show host Tony Gachoka to invite Aukot to respond to some of the claims made during the last episode.

Okango stressed on the need for the former presidential hopeful to respond to remarks made by Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo about the Punguza Mizigo push on Wednesday night.

He said that remarks by Amollo, who is in support of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) referendum push against Aukot's were lies.

"@TonyGachoka @KTNNewsKE I challenge you to invite @EAukot for a right of reply on the LIES that @OAmollo spewed about #PunguzaMizigoBill2019 on your show #KTNPointblank last night. You can't guarantee 'TRUTH', but getting the FACTS right is a cardinal principle of journalism," Okango said in a tweet.

While pouring cold water on the bill which seeks to among others, introduce a nonrenewable seven year presidential term, Amollo termed it rigid and exclusive.

He claimed that Aukot is misleading Kenyans as most of his promises cannot be fulfilled, claiming that he only sat down and came up with the proposals without any consultations.

"Punguza Mizigo is a Bill that promises more than what it delivers (and) misleads people about its intentions. We do not know who Aukot sat with to generate that Bill. He simply wrote it, generated signatures and sent it to IEBC (Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission),” the ODM MP said during the interview.
