One person died and two others were left badly injured following an accident that occurred along Njoro-Mau Narok road on Wednesday.
According to Njoro Sub-County Police Commander Mohammed Huka, it is the matatu which caused the accident by hitting a bodaboda rider carrying other two people.
In the incident, the rider of the bodaboda with one passenger survived but were left in a bad condition while the other passenger died on spot.
"The boda boda rider was hit from behind by a matatu that was heading in the same direction. One of the rider’s passenger died on the spot, while the rider and his second passenger were left in critical condition," said Huka, according to Standard.
The two survivors were taken to Nakuru Level Five Hospital for treatment.
The police boss warned careless drivers against poor driving and also the bodaboda riders against carrying more than one passenger.
The matatu that was involved in the accident was impounded at Njoro Police station where the driver is also held as police conduct further investigations.
