In his tribute during the memorial service of the deceased on Thursday at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi, Joseph said that the death of Collymore is a big blow to the mobile service provider and the entire nation.

Emotions ran high as Joseph read a poem in honour of the deceased.

He revealed that the poem had been given to him by the Guyana-born late boss when he was still alive. It also emerged that Collymore had asked his friends not to mourn him when he dies.

He said that he had lived a life of purpose and death was inevitable. He also said that Collymore is the bravest he has ever met since he was born. He further said that the death of Collymore has taught him several things about life including resilience

“Bob was the bravest man I have ever met. He faced the indignities of a bounce of injections, blood transfusions, chemotherapy, constant tests and examinations, pain and in the end death, with an enormous sense of humour and resilience,” Michael said.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and Former Britain Prime Minister Tony Blair were among the guests at the event.
