Pressure continued to mount on Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission following dispute with ODM party over Kibra constituency by-election.
The ODM party on Tuesday accused IEBC of failing to produce the updated version of the register, threatening to match to anniversary towers.
But on Wednesday, the commission' chairman Wafula Chebukati released a statement in which he explained circumstances surrounding the delay.
However, ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire said the commission' days are numbered, adding that the IEBC cannot hold credible polls despite the capacity.
"They have proved that none of them wants to change. They have been doing things same way. It's time that we disbanded this rogue commission," the former Kitutu Masaba MP said.
He insisted that the commission has no moral authority to conduct elections in Kenya, citing alleged bias as the reason behind frequent disbandment calls.
Majority Leader Duke Masira also asked the ODM party to be vigilant, adding that the commission is to blame for frequent electoral disputes in Kenya.
"We can't afford to go to polls with these people. They are the reason this country is yet to make progress in electoral reforms. It must be disbanded."
On Tuesday, a section of ODM leaders from Nyamira led by chairman Richard Kaka accused IEBC of bias, demanding that commissioners resign immediately.
