Social media sensation Kartelo has broken his silence on the scrapping of the Chipukeezy Show.

In an emotional Facebook post, the youngster shone a spotlight on the alleged frustrations he had to grapple with as a co-host of the show.

Kartelo shared details of how the top brass of the television station they were working for, were not impressed by their content and guests that were invited to the show.

He thanked Chipukeezy for giving him a platform to engage his passion and to grow.

"So, let me give a short story about me and the man on the background, my mentor, brother, best friend and a father figure in the industry... Kartelo said the purpose of the show was to give a voice to the voiceless, adding that they burnt the midnight oil, scouring the internet for youths with talent.

"Anyway after sasa tumeanza Chipukeezy show, I realized we had a common goal.. Empowering youths, so we chose kupatia the voiceless a chance.. We spent most of our nights on the internet na mtaani tukisaka talents that weren’t given a voice. Youths need to be given a chance," he added.

Chipukeezy announced earlier Monday that he had taken the decision to end his contract with Ebru Television Station over the row.

He said he strongly opposed calls by his bosses to cut ties with Kartelo.
