Former Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe has weighed in on the debate of political dynasties ahead of the release of the Building Bridges Initiative. Speaking during an interview with KTN's Point Blank on Wednesday, Kagwe said that the debate has been common in most events because those believed to be part of the dynasties are public and loud officers.
He said that the influence of those believed to be in this group cannot be ignored. Kagwe reiterated that these individuals influence the lives of millions of Kenyans in different ways.
"The only reason why we talk about dynasties in politics is that they are public and loud offices @TonyGachoka @KTNNewsKE #ktnpointblank," he said
On August, 23, Uhuru came forth and warned leaders spreading propaganda that the 2022 race will be a battle between hustlers versus dynasties. He said that the debate about the same is ill-timed and ill-driven. He affirmed that it takes a good track record to rise to power and not sideshows.
“You know, I don’t know if I will be told that I am speaking politics, but I am not, I promise. I have no such intention, but you know when you hear people out there, you know, they talk, ‘Oh, this person, dynasty this, oh dynasty this’…it is not about that," he said as quoted by the standard digital.
ODM leader Raila Odinga has also refuted that he is not part of dynasties as claimed.
