The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has summoned Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s cabinet. The cabinet is set to appear before the commission’s headquarters at the Integrity center on Friday to shed more light on the construction Dandora stadium after it emerged that the procurement procedures were flawed, Standard Reports.

The commission is probing the payment of Sh196 million paid towards the construction of the project. The officials who are set to appear before the commission Leboo Morintat (Deputy County Secretary) Joyce Kinyanjui (Director IGR & Head of CEC Secretariat), Peter Mugo (Chief Of Staff) and  Samwel Kinyanjui (Administration Officer - CEC Secretariat). 

 The commission will also schedule sessions with suspended CEC for Health Mohamed, CEC for Devolution Larry Wambua, CEC for Agriculture Winfred Gathangu and Former Acting County Attorney Christine Ireri in December 2 over the alleged loss of millions allocated towards the project in question. 

On December 3, 2019, the detectives will grill Environment CEC Vesca Kangogo, Roads CEC Hitan Majevdia and Trade CEC Allan Igambi. 

Charles Kerich (Suspended CEC for Finance) Pauline Kahiga (Lands CEC) and Newton Munene (CEC for ICT) will present themselves to the detectives on December 4, to respond to charges leveled against them. 

Sonko has been accusing officials from the EACC of attempting to use underhand tactics to frustrate his government. He has been calling for the probe of the rogue officials.
