The wrangles at the Union have intensified to the point that Sossion has now resorted to seeking police security to access his Knut office on Mfangano Street, Nairobi.

The beleaguered boss on Friday filed an urgent application at the Employment and Labour Relations Court asking for police to protect him as he tries to access the office.

This comes after a section of Knut officials warned Sossion against setting foot at the Knut headquarters.

In the suit, which was filed before Justice Maureen Onyango, Sossion argued that he feels threatened. Justice Onyango later ordered police to assist Sossion access the facility so that he can discharge his duties following his reinstatement.

The ODM nominated MP had earlier been deregistered by the Teachers Service Union (TSC), a move which he successfully fought in court.

Sossion has accused Knut National Executive Council (NEC) of organising what he terms as an illegal meeting aimed at plotting his ouster. He lamented that a plot to remove him from office was hatched despite a court case stopping the same.
