With almost three years remaining to the 2022 general election, ODM leader Raila Odinga has left his rivals and supporters alike guessing on his political game plan.
After his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta in March 2018, Raila has played his cards close to his chest with his political future becoming a matter of speculation.
According to Suna East MP and key Raila confidante, Junet Mohamed, it is too early to predict whether Raila will make another stab at the presidency again in 2022.
"It is going to be very difficult to tell whether Raila will run or not. He will ask which election? At this time, he is not focused on campaigning for presidential election, but he more focused on other issues like BBI, bringing people together," Junet stated.
The Minority Whip in Parliament added: " It is very difficult to tell whether he will run or not. The only person who wants to be President is William Ruto who is running on his own race he doesn't know."
Raila has remained tight-lipped on his future political plans even as a section of politicians from both divides speculate that he could be in the ballot come 2022.
