Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattani, who also doubles up as the Treasury CS, has assured all census personnel that money will be wired to their individual accounts after the exercise.
CS Yattani gave the assurance on Thursday to members of the press, less than 48 hours into the start of the census held after every 10 years.
He said that the money had already been released and was just awaiting the completion of the exercise to be disbursed to individual accounts of all those involved in the exercise.
"So nobody should complain money have been transferred and at the end of the exercise the individual enumerators and other census personnel will be paid directly through their bank accounts that have already been provided to our systems on their own accord, " the CS assured.
Yattani went on to add that the village elders and local administrators involved in the exercise will be paid through the county census board.
"About the village elders and local administrators, payments will be done through the county census committee and money has already been transferred to this effect, " he added.
The government has called for all social joints to be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
