Popular Tanzanian Musician Rose Muhando has opened up on a viral video showing her being prayed for by controversial Kenyan pastor James Ng'ang'a of the Neno Evangelism.
The video emerged at a time when the musician had been out of the music industry for some time and rumours were doing rounds that all was not well with her.
The short clip caused outrage on social media with many wondering how Rose Muhando who had been known to be a strong Christian had ended up at with Pastor Ng'ang'a who is mostly associated with controversy and publicity stunts.
In an interview with The Standard, Muhando who has close ties with Kenya claimed that Pastor Ng'ang'a invited her to his church.
On the day she went to the Neno Evangelism Church, Rose Muhando says, she was experiencing stomach upset and 'blacked out' after Pastor Ng'ang'a started praying for her.
The 'Nibebe' hit-maker revealed that she is yet to comprehend what happened next.
“Pastor Ng’ang’a had invited me to his church and I had reported a day earlier. However, on the day the video was shot, I had a lot of pain in my stomach and he told me he would pray for me. I blacked out after the first three words and to date-I still cannot tell what transpired,” she stated.
Pastor Ng'ang'a, on the other hand, claimed that Rose Muhando went to his church to be prayed for as she was not well.
“She was unwell. She requested for spiritual healing from me. I only facilitated that. She is like a patient in a hospital. Do you usually call the doctor to inquire about the health details of a patient you are not related to?” Pastor Nga'nga noted.
