Deputy President William Ruto has maintained that he is not opposed to the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
Speaking on Sunday at Kisii School during a funds drive in aid of Kisii Performing Artists to build a modern state of the art recording studio, Ruto maintained that he is fully behind BBI, as long as it will help change the lives of Kenyans.
"I support the BBI and let those claiming that I am opposed to the BBI tell Kenyans where did I tell them that I do not support BBI. I urge Kenyans to read the report and maintain peace," said Ruto.
The second in command affirmed that he will not be blocked by critics from working hard to ensure the Jubilee government meets the campaign promises made during the 2017 polls.
He urged politicians to focus on development instead of dwelling so much on 2022 polls.
"It is too early for politicians to start saying who should succeed who. Let us work first because 2022 is far and already God knows who will hold which position," he added.
Ruto was hosted by Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi.
The DP has been making a series of trips to Gusii region perceived to be an opposition stronghold.
