The Kenya Films and Clarification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua has banned the playing of Tetema and Wamlambez songs outside clubs and bars.
In a post on his Facebook page, Tuesday Mutua said that the two songs are 'dirty' and should be strictly played in clubs.
He observed that it was shameful to see national leaders sing to them despite their content.
"Tetema and Wamlambez songs are strictly forbidden outside of clubs and bars. It's embarrassing to see even national leaders singing and dancing to the obscenity in public," wrote Mutua.
"The lyrics are dirty and not suitable for public consumption, especially mixed company or where children are likely to be watching or listening. Both songs are pure pornography," he added.
The KFCB boss, however, pointed out that the songs will not be totally banned because they are coded but said there was a need for the public to know that they are not suitable for mixed company.
The two songs are among popular ones with Tetema done by Bongo star Diamond Platnumz featuring Rayvanny which was released six months ago having 27 million views on YouTube.
Wamlambez which had become 'a national anthem' sang by Sailors was released four months ago and has 3.8 million views on YouTube.
