Kandara Member of Parliament Alice Wahome has suggested that Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i is behind travel woes facing deported lawyer Miguna Miguna.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the MP asked CS Matiang'i to stop hiding under government spokesperson Cyrus Oguna and allow Miguna Miguna back home.
"CS Matiang’i, don’t tell stories through govt spokesman Cyrus Oguna. Bring Miguna Miguna home. Don’t expose your inefficiency or worse still tyranny...," Wahome wrote.
Amid controversies that Miguna's travel back to Kenya has been subjected to, a State Lawyer Christopher Marwa on Wednesday told the court that the government is not responsible for his woes and neither is the Ministry of Interior.
"I have spoken with Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i and he assured me that he's not opposed to Miguna's return," the lawyer told the court, according to Citizen Digital.
Miguna was ejected from a France Airbus plane on Tuesday night just before take-off, after being denied to board earlier in the day with a reason that the Kenyan Government had issued a red alert.
According to the France airbus that ejected the controversial lawyer, they were following stipulated international travel rules .
“Like all airlines, Air France is required to comply with the entry requirements for the countries it serves and as such is not authorized to knowingly board passengers for a destination to which they are denied access,” read part of the statement quoted by Standard.
