This follows President Uhuru Kenyatta's total war declaration on the vice, which has been gobbling up billions in taxpayer's money.

Speaking on Wednesday, the lawmaker admitted that the former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka-led side has not spoken much about the menace as it would he expected.

However, he blamed the same on the party's National Assembly members, whom he noted have not done enough to tackle graft from the floor of the house.

“I’m honest enough to say Wiper hasn’t spoken on corruption the way it should as a party on the floor of the National Assembly where committees auditing the national government are, where reports are and where the article on censure is supposed to be activated,” he said.

The youthful lawmaker made the remarks during Pointblank show on KTN News.

He said the president has as well not done enough by only waiting for state officers to be arraigned in court to fire them, encouraging him to sack anyone suspected of looting public funds.

The same, he noted, applies to members of the Legislature, adding that they have not been serious in fully implementing their role of censuring cabinet ministers linked to graft.

“As a Legislature, we’ve let Kenyans down. The section of the Constitution which says we can censure a CS doesn’t mean we wait for the president or DPP (Director of Public Prosecutions) because we have the mandate of oversight,” he added.

Consequently, he pointed out, some cabinet secretaries linked to the same have continued holding their seats, which means that the legislative houses have let Kenyans down.
