The team of 14, nominated by President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in 2018 has been seeking opinions from Kenyans, in a bid to solve the nation's political wrangles, especially after presidential elections.

Manyora now says that the sessions have been useless as the team has a predetermined answer which is the Raila-proposed expansion of the executive arm of government.

Speaking on Saturday, he observed that the time has only been working backwards in an attempt to seem to be engaging Kenyans, but has a clearly spelt-out goal.

"I know the BBI is working...they have an answer they are working backwards. The answer is to create a structure of government that has an expanded executive," he said on his Take It or Leave It YouTube analysis channel.

He, however, expressed his support for the same and have his own suggestion, proposing the inclusion of two deputy presidents and three deputy prime ministers.

Manyora opined that this way, it will be easier for the BBI to sell its narrative, as the many positions will accomonadate more leaders, therefore including all parts of the country in the government.

"Have a president, have a vice president and a second vice president. Have a Prime Minister and three deputies. Let one deputy in charge of the security sector.

Let another deputy prime minister be in charge of devolution and allied ministries and let another deputy prime minister be in charge of public service and allied ministries," he added.
