Ndaragwa Member of Parliament Jeremiah Kioni has asked Kenyans to read the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report before making their final decision.
Speaking on Wednesday during an interview on K24, Kioni said the report is not all about politics as leaders have made it appear.
He argued that there is need for Kenyans to examine the contents of the report to avoid being misled.
“BBI must be seen to what it is, let people read and see what it contains. it goes beyond politic," he said.
Kioni said he is saddened by the fact that leaders often forget the impact of their decisions, adding that politicians need to guide Kenyans on the implementation of the report.
“The problem we have is people vote for leaders who will give them something to eat today and forget the long term implications,” he said.
The method for adoption of the BBI report has caused heated across the country.
A section of leaders want the report adopted through a referendum, while others want state agencies including Parliament to lead the adoption of BBI.
