Deputy President William Ruto has joined other Kenyans in mourning former presidential candidate Peter Kenneth's mother, Rahab Wambui Muhuni.
In a tweet on Thursday evening, Ruto eulogized Mama Wambui as a heartful woman.
"Condolences to the family and friends of Mama Rahab Wambui, mother of former MP Peter Kenneth. Mama Wambui was affable, generous and kind. Thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones. Rest In Peace," he said.
The late Wambui passed away on Thursday morning after a long battle with illness
She had been receiving treatment at Nairobi's Aga Khan Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) since November 2018. It has not been revealed what Wambui was suffering from.
