On Tuesday, Nyoro over to court to fight for the lifting of the ban on changing the cabinet.

He insisted that he is facing it rough delivering on his promises because of internal resistance from some of the Cabinet members.

He wants the High Court to hear and determine two petitions questioning his power to reshuffle the cabinet.

Through lawyer Kibe Mungai, Nyoro said that he has equal jurisdiction with the governor since he is entitled to deliver on all the duties, which included hiring and firing cabinet members where there is the need to do so.

The lawyer also argued that Nyoro is acting on the best interest of the residents of Kiambu.

“Nyoro is acting for the interest of the public and since Governor Ferdinand Waititu has been barred from entering office, what will happen if there are services required from that office,” the lawyer said, as Capital FM.

He also said that he has sufficient legal capacitiy as well as scope to discharge his duties as a governor.

Nyoro assumed office in the acting capacity after Waititu was blocked from discharging his duties pending a graft case against him.

Waituti has been blaming external forces for his woes after he was removed from office until further notice.
