UASU's intervention comes just days after the Education CS revoked the appointment of Prof Stephen Kiama as the vice chancellor of the renowned institution of higher education.
Kiama had already issued an invitation to members of the public to attend his installation as the substantive vice-chancellor.
Prof Magoha said that deputy VC Isaac Mbeche who act as the new vice-chancellor but on an interim basis until a consultative process reaches a decision on who will take the reins as the substantive VC.
The university's Senate led by Julia Ojiambo was also dissolved with immediate effect plunging the institution into an even greater crisis.
