A court in Nairobi has now ordered his wife Sarah Wairimu to undergo a mental test to determine whether she is stable enough to face a murder trial. Her lawyer Phillip Murgor has, however, protested the decision to charge her with murder.

Murgor has also lamented that his client has been facing sexual harassment since she was arrested following the disappearance of her husband.

State lawyer Catherine Mwaniki has, however, refuted claims that the suspect has been subjected to sexual harassment.

Kamotho will be detained at the Lang'ata Women's Remand Prison following the directive from the court as she waits for a trial scheduled on Monday. Cohen, who once worked as CEO of Philips Electronics East Africa was last seen in July.

He was allegedly spotted in Westlands in one of the clubs before he went missing. The wife has, however, insisted that she knows nothing about his life since he left their home.

She also told the court that Cohen had left telling her he was heading to Thailand but he never flew out of the country. Detectives are now digging deeper into the case to establish what befell the tycoon.
