In a tweet on Tuesday evening, Kipkorir called fro transparency noting that the process may have been skewed.

"Have retained my friend @NelsonHavi in demanding ANSWERS from the Senior Counsel Conferment Committee. What i want is transparency of the MATRIX & ANALYTICAL TOOLS used. Am not asking to be added to the List ... We want the TRUTH for God is Truth," tweeted Kipkorir.

He also pointed out that some of the committee members had their hidden motives.

"And I want to assuage rumors that some Committee Members were biased in extraneous matters & have their eyes fixed on replacing the Chief Justice. My other friends @ahmednasirlaw & @makaumutua will offer advise as is required," he added.

This comes days after a list of lawyers to be feted with the prestigious conferment was released.

A total of 24 lawyers were selected. Among them are former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and Kibaki-era Justice Minister Martha Karua.

Law Society of Kenya (LSK) sent letters to successful applicants on September 19, 2019.

“The committee at its meeting held on August 26, 2019, considered your application. We are pleased to inform you that your application was successful,” part of the letter sent to the successful applicants reads.
