President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday travelled to Tanzania following an invitation by his Tanzania Counterpart John Pombe Magufuli.
Uhuru used the opportunity to respond to Starehe MP Charles Njagua aka Jaguar's remarks on the deportation of Chinese and other foreigners conducting business in Kenya without permits.
The commander in chief of the armed forces said that the foreigners in this nation have no reason to panic because laws have been put in place.
Uhuru criticized Jaguar and other leaders who keep making statements in the public domain yet they know nothing about the reality of life
"You know, politicians’ one problem is talking without thinking. They think that where they live is the end of the world. You may have heard one spew the words and mention things that aren't factual,” he said in part.
(Unajua wanasiasa wengine shida yao wanaongea bila kufikiria anafikiria anapoishi ndiyo mwisho wa dunia. Unasikia wengine wanaropokwa ropokwa wanaongea mambo ambayo hayapo)
Uhuru and Magufuli pledged to continue working together to boost the economies of the two nations. Uhuru said that Tanzania has been supporting his government and he is ready to reciprocate the same.
Jaguar’s remarks caused a stir with Tanzania summoning Kenyan ambassador to explain the sentiments of the lawmaker.
