A suspect believed to be behind the murders of a 73-year-old woman and her 47-year-old daughter in South B called the police and admitted to having killed the two.
The suspect called the police using a toll free number 112 using the late elderly woman's cell phone.
”Nimeua. Sasa kujeni muniue (I have killed now come and kill me),“ the caller stated.
The call which was made on September 21 came hours before the bodies of Judy Wanjiku Mwai and her daughter Catherine Nyaguthii Mwai were discovered by their relatives and police officers inside their house which is located in Golden Gate estate in Nairobi.
The call between the suspect who is believed to be a woman and the police officer was recorded and presented to the office of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nairobi on Thursday.
In the one minute and ten seconds conversation, the police officer on duty directed the woman to surrender herself to the police.
The officer in question has, nonetheless, not recorded a statement yet in relation to the case.
On Thursday, a sister of the murdered ex-Treasury employee was questioned by the police in an effort to trace the last activities of the deceased and the people she last spoke to.
