Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has warned the ruling Jubilee party to be cautious with the manner in which the BBI affairs are being handled.
In a tweet on Monday evening, Sang said that BBI has changed, its intention now different pointing out that some leaders could be angling to use it in their political overtures in 2022.
"The BBI is no longer what we thought it was. It has now been turned into a political tool by some leaders who want to use it to ascend to leadership in the 2022 poll. We should be careful in Jubilee lest we disintegrate as a party," he tweeted.
This follows the second BBI consultative forum which was held at Bukhungu Stadium last week on Saturday.
A section of Jubilee legislators allied to DP Ruto led by former Kakamega Senator Dr Bonny Khalwale argued that it was forum to advance political interest for a few individuals.
However, Raila Odinga who was in attendance quashed this narrative maintaining that BBI was for the good of all Kenyans and not a particular politician as has been reported.
