Uhuru on Wednesday, acting in line with results of a committee he had picked to look into some major projects, found the project not viable.

Consequently, he cancelled the project which has been at the center of a scandal, and whose contractor, CMC Di Ravenna, had already received some pay before going bankrupt.

Questioning the cancellation on Saturday, Wamwere took issue with the committee, questioning the procedure that was used to compile and deploy it.

"We are not aware on how the committee was formed and which law was used (Hatukuambiwa hii kamati iliundwa kivipi, hatukuambiwa ni sheria gani ilifuatwa)," he said.

The veteran politician and author made the remarks on Radio Sauti Ya Mwananchi's Cheche show on Saturday evening.

He pointed out that Uhuru might soon move to the next level, considering that the Italian form has since been taken to court by the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), to have the matter solved out of court.

He said that should it get to this, then Uhuru will have to resign from government for denying the taxpayer justice, by seeking to reach a deal with a firm that has taken their money but has not delivered the agreed product.

"If his plan is to settle the matter out of court  he will have done a very wrong thing and won't have any other alternative but to step aside so that we can get another government (Kama nia yake na ya kusikilizana nje ya korti atakuwa amefanya kosa kubwa na hatakuwa na njia nyingine ila asimame kando tupate serikali nyingine)," he added.
