This was disclosed by Machakos County TSC deputy director Phanice Mwito who warned that any teacher found culpable of the crime will not be spared.

Speaking at Masii on Friday, Mwito hinted on a plan by the commission to conduct induction program for teachers especially the young ones.

"Something I have found strange in Machakos is immoral behaviour and teachers should know that if found, there won't be any negotiations. You touch a student you go home," she said.

"Most teachers need to be sensitized, they don't know that simple actions that seem innocent may land them in problems, for example, flirting, winking, those funny comments and tapping girls at funny places. You should know we are looking at the intention," added the TSC official.

According to Mwito, many teachers are being interdicted due to a lack of knowledge in regard to what their profession entails.

She disclosed that more than eight teachers in the county have been disciplined by TSC in the period between March and November this year due to misconduct.

A big number of teachers have also been interdicted for desertion.

"You get sick instead of applying for sick leave you go to a hospital, TSC does not allow belated sick leave. You should know that," she said.
