Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has revealed that he found the process of holding the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) meetings to be very offensive.

According to him, the meetings are offensive because it's taxpayer's money that is being used.

Speaking at an interview in NTV on Tuesday, Senator Aaron said that despite the fact that it is okay for leaders to consult, the problem is with the means that are being used to do so will be soon realized to be very expensive.

He warned against the misuse of taxpayer's money, revealing that for leaders that participated to Mombasa meeting, every leader was paid a sitting allows of about 100,000 shillings.

Furthermore, where they slept plus the cost of their flight was paid using taxpayer's money.

"I find this process of holding BBI meetings very offensive because it is taxpayers’ money being used. Despite the fact that we want to be consultative, this route that we are taking will end up being a very expensive exercise," Aaron Cheruiyot said.

Also, Kericho senator was saddened with the fact that we live in a country that it doesn't matter if people give their views or not.

"We live in a country where if you give your views or not, it doesn't matter," He said
