In a Facebook post, Kuria asked why Kalonzo can decide to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta and not Ruto. He lamented that Kalonzo has proven that he is not tolerant even after Uhuru agreed to work with ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga.

"So warming up to DP Ruto is driving a wedge with the President ? Tulifika hapa lini bwana Kalonzo ?(When did we reach such a point Kalonzo) The President and DP Ruto are one and the same thing. Kwani ni multiple choice?Put the question then. If that is the question Kenyans let's vote. A or B ?' he said.

Kalonzo had said that the speculations of working with the second in command are malicious and ill-intended. He said that he is not ready to be divided with the President considering their close working relationship.

"In the light of recent conversations and speculations about working with DP @WilliamsRuto, please note that these speculations are malicious. They are a desperate attempt to drive a wedge between me and president... Remarks by individuals should not be attributed to me," Kalonzo tweeted.

Kalonzo was responding to Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama's remarks that he intends to reach to Ruto ahead of 2022.
