The World's Best Teacher Peter Tabichi was on Saturday honoured by top UK newspaper, the Independent, barely a month after he was hosted by US President Donald Trump in White House
The Newspaper acknowledged Tabichi for his life-changing contributions to students from poor families.
The morning paper published in London noted that Tabichi deserves credit because of the role he has played in transforming the lives of students born in poor families.
According to Citizen Digital, the Independent published a picture of the teacher with the headline reading; ‘World Teachers’ Day: How educators are celebrated in different countries around the world".
Tabichi has been on the rise after meeting several powerful persons including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The teacher could not hide his joy after the honour he received from the newspaper. He took to his Twitter handle and tweeted; “Thank you @yvonnebaker and @STEMLearningUK for your hospitality and opportunity to learn more about STEM~you greatly inspired me."
Tabichi has been hitting headlines in the recent past since he bagged the award.
The celebration comes during a week he lectured top teachers from the United Kingdom on how they can engage learners in sciences.
He has been a source of inspiration to students as well as teachers since was named the best teacher globally.
