Thirdway Alliance party has denied claims that it has decided to support the Building Bridges Initiative.
In a tweet on Thursday, the party leader Ekuru Aukot said the BBI is a directionless journey, adding that his party is independent and won't be convinced to join the bandwagon.
"There will be no single occasion under my leadership at Thirdway Kenya that we will sanitize any form of illegality. We're independent in our thinking and not sheep to be huddled into a directionless journey," Aukot tweeted.
Aukot was replying to Orange Democratic Movement Communications Director Philip Etale, who claimed to have seen a statement by Thirdway Alliance Secretary General Fred Okang'o saying the party was going to join the BBI train.
"I have seen the statement by SG for Thirdway Alliance @fokango saying the party has finally decided to join the #BBI train. This is a step in the right direction. Let their views be presented to the BBI Steering Committee. But I hear Mr Know-it-All @EAukot is bullying him," he said.
After Aukot trashed the claims, Etale expressed shock stating that he thought a statement from the party Secretary General should be taken as the final party position
"But Sir, I thought Fred is the SG and thus communication undersigned by him is binding as has been in the past. Anyway...," he wrote.
