Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has put the Supreme Court of Kenya on spot over cases of rampant corruption. Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV on Wednesday, Abdullahi said that Chief David Maraga-led court has failed Kenyans.
He argued that there is a massive exchange of money in return for favours at the Supreme Court.
The lawyer lamented that most of the Kenyans who seek justice at the top court end up frustrated especially if they are dealing with persons who seem influential and have money to bribe the judges.
"Supreme court is the most corrupt court in Kenya. The less qualified you are for a job, the better your chances," he said.
He also said that cases of Kenyans bribing and receiving bribes are other subjects of concern. He alluded that millions of Kenyans break the law but nothing happens to them.
Abdullahi went on to question how the nation will progress if these cases of corruption are not resolved by the Judiciary. He asked Maraga and his team to wake up from slumber and serve the interests of the taxpayers are delegated to them.
"In Kenya, there is no consequence when you break the law. How can a country survive without consequences for lawbreakers?" he asked.
