Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has launched a scathing attack against President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Amolo Odinga as Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) popularization gains momentum across the country.
Speaking in Lari on Wednesday, Kuria lamented that Raila has started disrespecting them even after he was given a room in the current government.
He compared Raila to a second wife and demanded that he respects them because they stood with President Kenyatta at the toughest time.
He argued that he was denied a seat during the BBI rally in Mombasa when Raila has been rooting for unity.
"We were in Mombasa and my seat was snatched away from me because I refused to stand for this ‘wife’ you brought home. We do not have a problem with them because if a home has two wives, we as children can only accept and because we accepted this ‘wife’ to come home, why don’t you tell them to respect us too and stop despising us," he said.
He also said that the leaders who attended the rally in Mombasa were compelled to call the Former Prime Minister, which he insists wasn’t right to do.
He asked Uhuru to remind Raila that they are also part of the government and they deserve to be treated in a better manner especially when they attend functions where Raila is present. Kuria and other allies of the Deputy President William Ruto were roughed up by goons.
They have linked the same to Raila’s camp.
