On January 30th in 2018, Mr. Odinga was sworn-in as People's president in a function that was attended by thousands of people.

But days later, Odinga reconciled with President Uhuru Kenyatta in what is now famously called Handshake.

Mr. Sifuna was on Thursday interviewed by Capital FM and is expected to address the Handshake politics.

"On the 2nd anniversary of the swearing-in of the Peoples President, I speak to @CapitalFMKenya Davis Ayiega on the significance of the day. We continue to pay tribute to the patriots who braved everything to birth a new hope for the Country.#MbelePamoja," he said.

Earlier on Thursday, the ODM party paid tributes to thousands of people who turned up during the controversial swearing-in.

"To thousands of people who turned up at Uhuru Park, you are True Heroes of 30th January. You stood up to assert yourselves even in the face of bullets and teargas, braved the scorching sun to witness the unthinkable. @RailaOdinga loves you all. We love you," the party said.
