Despite giving Deputy President William Ruto sleepless nights before August elections, three renown critics have since taken a low profile.

Prior to August polls, Ruto was facing a revolt from his Rift Valley backyard which threatened to render him politically irrelevant.

Former Kuresoi South MP and long serving PS Zakayo Cheruiyot, who lost to Joseph Tonui, has since quit politics to concentrate on business.

Associated with retired President Daniel Moi, Cheruiyot was one of key Jubilee defectors who joined CCM, a party that was initially in NASA coalition.

Also in the list is Ex-Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, who lost to Joyce Laboso and quit NASA coalition for Jubilee in August.

Throughout 2017 campaigns, Ruto led onslaught against the DP which at times almost turned chaotic.

Despite surviving a Jubilee wave, Emurua Dikir MP Johanna Ng'eno has since gone quiet. He however pledged to work with Jubilee government after his reelection.

Narok gubernatorial loser Patrick Ntutu has also gone silent after losing to Ole Tunai. He was among those opposed to Ruto's leadership.
