Kisii County Disaster Management Coordinator Patrick Lumumba has confirmed that four students from the county died during Garissa University College terrorist attack.

Lumumba added that 11 other students from the county, who were schooling in the university, are still missing.

Speaking to this writer Lumumba said they are following the matter to know the status of the 11.

"We are helping families to search for their children who were students in the institution and are still missing. As we are talking some of the family’s are at Chiromo Mortuary checking if they can identify them,” said Lumumba.

He said that the government will support in burial arrangements hence urging relatives to be patient.

For now the county government has set two disaster operation centers, one at Kisii County Headquarters and another at Governor Ongwae's office in Westlands, Nairobi.

More than 30 students from Kisii County, schooling at Garissa University College, escaped the terrorist attack which claimed 152 lives.
