Uhuru Kenyatta has extended his family after his son, Jomo, married Fiona Anyola Ngobi on Monday.
Anyola has been seen severally in the company of the President’s son in many places. The two lovebirds whereabouts has, however, been in darkness till yesterday when the two exchanged their wedding rings.
But who is Anyola? Here are four interesting things you didn’t know about Uhuru's new daughter in-law?
She has exotic heritage: Jomo’s wife is of a mixed Kenyan and Ugandan heritage. Her father is said to be from Uganda while her mother is from Kenya. She is a Luo from Bondo Siaya county.
Achola has political lineage: Kenyatta’s daughter in-law is from a political family. Her grandfather, William Odongo Omamo was a political rival to Jaramogi Odinga Oginga.
Both Kenyatta and Moi’s regime used him make inroads into Luo Nyanza politics. Her grandfather represented Bondo and Muhoroni constituencies in her his life time as a politician.
She is a niece of Raychelle Omamo: Her mother is a sister to defence Cabinet Secretary Rachelle Omamo. They are both sister to the family of William Odongo Omamo who had two wives Joyce Achola and Anne Audia.
She studied in South Africa: Fiona Achola pursued her university course at university in South Africa.The university is in a small town of Hilton in kwaZulu-Natal Midland of South Africa. She was a bright all rounded lady who won numerous awards in school. She also served as a vice-captain for netball as she was the best in the game.
