Four men were on Thursday charged before Kangundo law courts for destroying someone's property.
Appearing before Resident Magistrate Nikki Sinkiyan, the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.
According to the prosecution, the accused Eliud Maina, John Macharia, Peter Kinyanjui and Peter Mungai destroyed property of Jane Kinga worth Sh200,000 on May 4, 2016 in Muselele area, Matungulu sub-county, Machakos county.
The court ordered the four accused to pay a cash bail of Sh10, 000 each or be remanded as the case is ongoing.
The case was set to be mentioned on May 13, 2016 and the hearing date set on May 26, 2016.
In the same court, Kitavi Kasyoki a bodaboda operator was charged with flouting traffic rules.
The accused pleaded guilty to the charges where the court heard that he was arrested in Tala town in Matungulu sub-county on May 4, 2016 while he was driving without a licence, insurance, reflector jacket and a helmet.
In mitigation, the accused asked for forgiveness promising to correct his mistakes.
For the first two offences of lack of licence and insurance cover, he was asked to pay Sh3000 for each offence or face a 31-day imprisonment.
For the second set of offences of lack of helmet and reflector jacket, he was asked to pay Sh1000 for each offence or face a seven-day imprisonment.
He was released after paying.
