Four students from Maiuni Secondary School are set to appear in Kithimani court in Yatta sub-county in Machakos.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday evening the Yatta sub-county OCPD Edward Kipsang Chagach stated the four had been arrested and are set to be arraigned on Wednesday.
"We have four students of Maiuni Mixed Secondary school in Matuu police station following the burning of the school dormitory two weeks ago," said Chagach.
According to the Yatta police boss, the two boys are suspected to have begun the fire that destroyed property worth more than Sh1.5 million.
This comes as many schools have joined the worrying trend of setting schools on fire.
Among the schools in Machakos County that have experienced fires are Masii Secondary, Mitaboni School Machakos Primary among others.
