Eldoret is one of the largest towns located in Western part of Kenya in Rift Valley region and taking a late night you encounter different things.

Police
The police are tasked to offer security to residents and they work overnight to prevent those taking advantage of darkness for their evil acts. The law enforcers are mostly patrolling around the town where they help maintain law and order during the night in the town.
Prostitutes
Eldoret like any other town is prone to prostitutes who do their 'hustle' in the night. When you visit some of the popular pubs and restaurants, you will likely meet prostitutes making their way to the entertainment spots. It is therefore advisable to keep a close eye on the prostitutes who may approach you in a suspicious manner.
Criminals
Since Eldoret is one of the biggest town in Kenya, it tends to hold most of the business premises. The criminals who do their malicious acts especially at night are always targeting business premises and you will not be surprised to meet those thieves in the town. Several cases of theft cases have been reported in the town and police often keep on patrolling to ensure tight security.
Hawkers
Hawkers are common in almost every part of the town where they sell their products such as snacks, biscuits, and sweets among others.
They work till late nights to meet their needs by selling their goods to passengers at large.
