After declaring President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto as the President-elect and Deputy President-elect respectively, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati has revealed the mechanisms his commission put in place to avoid errors.

Chebukati said the commission had increased the capacity KIEMS kits and fitted them with their sim cards for all mobile telephony providers.

He also said that while planning, they involved ICT experts from all the participating political parties and that everything they did was done in agreement with all.

The chairman added that IEBC received all Forms 34A and signed over the handling of Forms 34B in an open-to-all manner to assure of transparency.

Lastly, Chebukati said his commission allowed media houses access to results.
