Urine stains are common especially if you have young children that do bed wetting. You should not be mud to them because it is part of growing up. But then you find it disgusting when the mattress gets urine stains and smell and think of burning the mattress. You need not burn it, here are the simple ways to help you get the stains and the smell off.
Hydrogen peroxide
Take baking soda and the hydrogen peroxide and dilute them. Spread them over the mattress and leave it for an hour. Remove the mixture and scrub the affected area and you will have the results.
Vinegar
Mix vinegar with lukewarm water and sprinkle it on the area with stains on the mattress. Using a dry towel, absorb the water from the mattress and spray again and again so that the stain completely disappears. Allow the mattress to dry up in the sun.
Baking soda
Spread a good amount of baking soda to the mattress and cover it with a plastic sheet. Leave it for two days and then remove the plastic sheet and remove the baking soda dust from the mattress by vacuum cleaning. You will have your mattress sparkling with no stain.
Carpet cleaner
A carpet cleaner is the best when cleaning a stained mattress. Apply the carpet cleaner on the area of the mattress and leave it for a stipulated amount of time. You then need to scrub the area with a towel and warm water.
