One of four Kenyans has been a victim of a criminal activity over the past six months, a new report has revealed. 

The study was conducted by Twaweza at a time when cases of crime in Nairobi have been on the rise.

The report released on Thursday further highlights that 40 per cent of Kenyans have observed violence in public. 

According to the report, at least 22 per cent of Kenyans feel that security has deteriorated in their area of residence in 2017 compared to 18 per cent in the previous year. 

Over the recent past, there have been outarge on social media over increased cases of mugging in Nairobi.
