In one of the best performances registered at Kiambu Public schools, Githunguri Township primary school has shown great excellence and improvement.
This is after close to 40 pupils out of the 170 managed to attain four hundred marks and above.
The best student Victor Mburu scoring 442 marks making way to join the best national schools in the country.
Speaking while joining the pupils in song and dance, the school principal Elizabeth Maina noted that it is a new dawn for the education sector in which cases of cheating is slowly fading away into the sunset.
The school’s principal was overjoyed for having 40 of her pupils scoring more than 400 points in the 2017 KCPE examination.
“This year’s performance has been the best compared to last year’s where we recorded almost the same average mark,” said Maina.
She eluded that the changes in the system put into place by the Ministry of Education has contributed immensely and they welcomed it saying parents will have time to plan during the festive season.
