The lawmaker speaking on Monday at Uhuru Gardens in Nyamira County said most of the beneficiaries were orphans and those from poor families.

“Over Sh20 million from the CDF kitty has been shared among 4,000 students learning at colleges, universities and secondary schools. No students should be sent home for school fees because thee money will boost their stay in school this term,” he said.

He assured that no one was favored in the allocation of the funds saying those who missed out will be given priority in the next allocation.

"Some who didn’t benefit will be given priority in the next allocation because they didn’t meet the required standards such as attaching relevant documents as prescribed.

"Students without admission letters and other requirements should plan to have one and apply for the CDF bursaries next time,” he said.

He said he is committed to invest more in the education sector by constructing more classes to accommodate more learners in village public schools.
