President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga have wished all students the best of luck as they undertake the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams that kicked off this morning.
Uhuru said that he is hopeful that every candidate will give his best during the examination period.
He urged them to embrace honesty during the exam period , and resist the temptation of engaging in exam irregularities.
A team of 70,000 security officers have already been deployed across the nation to ensure the exercise moves smoothly.
On his part, Raila said he wishes the candidates best of luck as they look forward to achieving the desires of their hearts.
“Our children are our greatest resource, our greatest asset and the hope for our collective future as a nation. I wish them the best as they begin sitting KCPE. I urge them to embrace honour and integrity during the exams and on wards throughout life,” he said.
