Imran who was speaking on Sunday night during an interview on KTN's Checkpoint show said Kibra campaigns brought about divisions which he will address going forward.
"My first order of business is uniting the people of Kibra. I know with these campaigns, it has not been easy. It attracted a lot of interest from different quarters and of course, there were divisions because we had a lot of candidates vying for the same seat. So, my first agenda will be to unite the people of Kibra," Imran stated.
Incidences of violence were witnessed during the November 7 by-election. Former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale and Kimilili MP Didimus Barasa were stoned.
According to Imran, he will collaborate with other politicians who vied for the seat in order to ensure that Kibra residents are united.
He further pointed out that he has reached out to a section of the candidates and that they were in talks over the agenda of creating unity.
"Of course I am in contact with all the candidates who vied. I want to bring all of them and also their supporters to come back," Imran maintained.
Jubilee's candidate McDonald Mariga who came in second reached out to Imran via a phone call to congratulate him, a gesture which called for peaceful co-existence despite political differences.
