Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has responded to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka's sentiments distancing himself from working with Deputy President William Ruto.
Rumours started going around when the two leaders were seen close together during a past event.
Many said that Kalonzo has joined DP Ruto's camp.
However, on Wednesday, the former Vice President refuted these rumours.
''In the light of recent conversations and speculations about working with the DP, please note that these speculations are malicious. They are a desperate attempt to drive a wedge between me and HE the President and have failed. Remarks by individuals should not be attributed to me,'' said Kalonzo in a rejoinder.
His sentiments attracted a lot of attention from Kenyans and other leaders.
Murkomen was among the first leaders to comment reminded Kalonzo that working with Ruto is not a crime which will lead to a fall out between him and the head of state.
''Your Excellency I don’t think working with the DP will in anyway drive a wedge between you and the President unless of course, I missed the memo. Good night sir,'' said Murkomen.
Kalonzo's denial of working with Ruto comes just hours after former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama endorsed Ruto for 2022 presidency.
