A team of Women leaders supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga's Handshake on Friday made a grand entry in Kakamega ahead of Bukhungu rally.
Wearing white dresses and pink scarves, the team was received by hundreds of Bodaboda riders before making some rounds within the town preaching peace.
Team leaders Gladys Wanga, Mishi Mboko and Priscilla Nyokabi announced the arrival ahead of a tight schedule that would see many women groups empowered financially.
"Our arrival in Kakamega as we head over to Bukhungu Stadium. #EmbraceInKakamega," tweeted Mishi Mboko, the Likoni MP and a confidant of Mr Odinga.
"Arrival in Kakamega before proceeding to Bukhungu Stadium #EmbraceInKakamega," added Gladys Wanga, the firebrand Homa Bay Woman Representative.
Embrace team comprises of women leaders leaning towards President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga. The team is keenly supporting expected changes as a result of BBI.
While it's main aim is to support youths and women economically, it has been in the past accused of politicking and embezzlement of government funds through the ministry of youth and gender.

"The issues of cancer is on the rise in country more so Kakamega, there is need 4 more cancer centres, facilities for cancer screening.
"This is the right time to go back to indegenous vegetables to help curb this menace. The ple of Kakamega should consider this," tweeted Mr Philip Nyamai.
Politics are expected to be dominate Bukhungu rally, with calls for referendum already getting a node from the team.
